3. Best Practices to Prevent E-Filing Rejections
- Text-Searchable OCR PDFs: Courts reject scanned image-only PDFs. All documents must undergo Optical Character Recognition (OCR) before uploading;
- Redaction Compliance: Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and minor dates of birth must be redacted pursuant to public access rules;
- Lead Document Designation: Motions, notices of hearing, and proposed orders must be uploaded as separate document categories rather than bundled into a single PDF.
